| Country |
Honduras, the second largest country of Central America is not yet
as much developed for tourists as its neighbours. Nevertheless it offers
its visitors places of interest such as the Maya site of Copan, fantastic
beaches in the north and wonderful diving resorts of the Bay Islands,
a group of islands off the Honduran coast. The rather mountainous highland
of volcanic origin is very fertile. Among other produce, coffee, tobacco,
pineapple, bananas and other fruit are cultivated. |
| Climate |
Rain is a frequent guest, mainly on the Caribbean coast. Here it rains
most heavily from September to February. In Tegucigalpa the climate is milder,
with a dry season from November to April. |
